“For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 1:18
Christ the King Chapel is a Biblical and Confessional Reformed Presbyterian Church plant located in Pasco County, Florida. We exist to proclaim and worship Christ alone and Him crucified, for the salvation for all mankind, the discipling of all Christians, and for the Glory of our Triune God
Strategy & Core Values
We seek to plant and build a Church where we exist to:
- Establish an enduring Christ-Centered Worship through the original means of grace as our highest priority.
- Pursue the art of discipleship in every believer through the teaching, training, and application of the Scriptures, prayer, and fellowship.
- Devoted ourselves to the equipping of the saints for their work of service, the building up of the body of Christ, and to attain the unity of the faith in their love for one another.
- Intentionally proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, through our witness and walk, to make disciples of all the nations.
What We Believe
- We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, and only these books, are the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
- We believe there is one eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, and Holy Triune God.
- We believe this Triune God subsists eternally as one God three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe God is the Creator of all things with Himself subsisting in the prime, unoriginated, and most absolute manner of direct existence.
- We believe that the eternal and uncreated Son took on flesh in the person of Jesus Christ to save God’s people from their sins.
- We believe Jesus Christ is both truly God and truly man with both His Divine and human natures existing together in a hypostatic union.
- We believe every person is guilty of both original and actual sin due to the imputation of Adam’s sin and therefore under the just wrath of God, and in need of a savior.
- We believe Jesus Christ alone is able to save sinners from the judgement of God.
- We believe Jesus Christ, who is without sin, saved sinners by enduring the wrath of God in their place.
- We believe Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and by the power of His resurrection gives eternal life to His people.
- We believe all true Christians are saved by the gracious election of God alone, through faith alone, and not through the will of any man or his works.
- We believe those who belong to Christ are called to pursue holiness in all areas of their lives for glory to God alone.
- We believe Jesus Christ will come again at the end of the age to judge both the living and the dead.
- We believe the historic, Reformed confessions are faithful expressions of the teachings of the Scriptures. These include the Westminster Confession and Catechisms and the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dort.
