Why should I come to Christ the King Chapel?

"For the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ" Rev. 1:9

“For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

1 Corinthians 1:18

There are many churches in Pasco County, Florida. A county that currently has a population of over 660,000 residents. However, Christ the King Chapel (CTKC) is the ONLY Biblical and Confessional, Reformed Presbyterian Church in Pasco County. So what sets us apart from other churches in this area?

For sure, there are other churches in Pasco County that are preaching God’s Word, engaged in discipling their people, and living to be a witness for Christ while also serving each other in fellowship. But unfortunately there are many other churches here whose worship is anything but what Christ has prescribed for them in His Word. There are those of the old legacy denominations who have long decided to sadly adopt the thoughts, way, and philosophies of this evil world in order to be relevant. They have, gone WOKE. Then there are many others whose worship services are nothing more than high-energy, emotionally driven rock concerts. We call these “Worshiptainment” services. But our Triune God has called us to worship Him in the way that honors and pleases Him, and not ourselves. At Christ the King Chapel, we are very attentive and driven to worship God, to be His witnesses in this world, and to live godly and holy lives for HIS Glory, AS HE HAS PRESCRIBED in His Word.

At CTKC we exist to proclaim and worship Christ alone and Him crucified, for the salvation for all mankind, the discipling of all Christians, and for the Glory of our Triune God. To fulfill this mission, the ministries and way of life of the people of God at CTKC is built upon four major tenets.

1. We are endeavor to proclaim the whole counsel of God exclusively through Christ Centered Expository Preaching. “Expository” here means to preach the truth of God’s Word, and not someone’s opinion of it. To unfold the original meaning of the text for the listeners with the charge to them concerning how they may apply it to their lives. (Nehemiah 8:2-8)
2. We seek as a congregation to sing theologically rich worship songs and hymns, informed and grounded by the Word of God. The emphasis here is for the entire congregation to sing together the truth from God’s Word back to Him in praise, rather than engaging in a sing-a-long, or being entertain by a few on the stage. (Colossians 3:1-6)
3. To engage in persistent call and encouragement to live godly (our actions) in holiness (setting ourselves apart) from adopting the ways of a sinful world. Key to this kind of God honoring life is to know, understand, and desire how we ought to live our lives in obedience to Him; and to have the encouragement of other disciples of Christ. (1 Peter 1:15-16 and Titus 2:11-12)
4. That essential to being a fruitful Christian, and disciple of Jesus Christ, we must build a relationship and fellowship of fellow disciples of Christ who themselves are earnestly seeking to be transformed through our mutual love for, and service toward, one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25 and 1 John 1:7)
